Freddy Manyika Afisa Mazingira Mwandamizi kutoka Ofisi ya Makamu w Rais na aliyekaa kushoto ni Bw. Abbas Kitongo, mwakilishi kutoka Shirika la Maendeleo la Umoja wa Mataifa Nchini (UNDP) ufunguzi huo uliofanyika leo jijin DSM.

Tanzania is among the 25 countries which has benefited from the United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP) Low Emission capacity building program which is aiming at supporting countries around the globe to enhance the capacity of the public and private sectors to scale up mitigation action thought the Development of low Emission Development Strategies.
This was stated at the stakeholder’s inception workshop to launch the program in Dar es Salaam today, it was said that, The programme as well is focusing on strengthening of the underlying systems of Measuring, Reporting and Verifications ( MRV) as national greenhouse gas inventories it was further added that, the funded though generous contribution from the European commission German and Australian governments, the programme acts as a pathfinder for policy makers paving the way to define a low carbon future that also delivers national sustainable development goals
It was emphasised that, though adaption is very important for developing countries like Tanzania, the mitigation action will as well be beneficial to the country. Delegation from Different Ministries Department, Agencies Development partners Higher learning institutions and private sectors attended the workshop.
